Dr. M. A. Ketabchi, President, CEO and Founder
As president and CEO of Savvion, Dr. Ketabchi is focused on corporate growth and providing the strategy and vision for the company as Savvion launches new products and targets new markets.
Dr. Ketabchi was a Full Professor at the Computer Engineering Department of Santa Clara University and the director of the Object and Multimedia Technologies Research Laboratory when he founded Savvion in 1994. Under his leadership Savvion launched the first BPM product in the market in 1999. The flagship product, Savvion BusinessManager, achieved significant market leadership and customer adoption.
Savvion BPM installed base today includes leading enterprises world wide who run their mission critical business operations with Savvion process solutions. Customer success, company commitment to its customers, partners and employees, and encouraging innovation internally within Savvion are the hallmarks of Dr. Ketabchi's business philosophy.
Dr. Ketabchi is well known for his pioneering research in business process management technologies and methods, process centric domain-oriented business solutions, object-oriented database management systems and application development technologies. He has published and presented extensively in these areas and is engaged with many companies including its customers and partners, in advancing the state of art and technologies in BPM and process centric domain-oriented business solutions strategies.
Prior to Savvion, Dr. Ketabchi worked with leading enterprises including World Bank, Computer Associates, Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Fujitsu. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

Shawn Price, Chairman
As Chairman of the board, Mr. Price is responsible for strategic direction and corporate oversight. Most recently Mr. Price was the CEO at Savvion, where he led the company for more than four years. Prior to joining Savvion, Price served as a consultant to the ranking venture capitalists and their portfolio companies from 2001 to 2003. From 1998 to 2001, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Americas with Vitria Technology, where he led the organization through a successful IPO while managing over 70% of global revenues. Prior to that, Price was Vice President of Corporate Sales for Softbank, where he held operating responsibilities in the U.S, Asia and Europe. Price has held a number of key leadership positions with firms including Object Designs, Photonics Networking, Software Publishing Corporation, and Corel Systems. Price received his Bachelor of Arts in Economic and Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.

David Yehle,
Senior Vice President Direct Sales
David Yehle is the Senior Vice President of Direct Sales responsible for direct license revenue and field operation. Yehle brings more than 20 years of high technology sales and sales management experience for industry leading companies. Most recently Yehle was the Vice President of Sales for the Western region and telecommunications verticals at Savvion. Before joining Savvion, Yehle held multiple sales leadership positions for Vitria Technology. Prior to Vitria Technology, Yehle was Vice President of Sales for Parametric Technology. Mr. Yehle holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.

Rod Squires, Senior Vice President, Channel Sales
Rod Squires is the Senior Vice President of Channel Sales responsible for all worldwide channel revenue, including solution resellers, systems integrators and OEM. Squires brings more than 20 years of sales and sales management experience at leading enterprise technology companies. Most recently Squires was the Vice President of Sales for Eastern US and Europe.
Prior to joining Savvion, Squires was the Regional Sales Director for Vitria Technology from 1999 to 2003. Prior to Vitria Technology, Squires was the Regional Sales Director at Parametric Technology. Rod began his career at Xerox Corporation where he spent 12 years in progressively responsible sales management and leadership positions. Rod earned a bachelor of arts degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.

Sam Hon Vice President, Professional Services
Mr. Hon serves as Vice President of Professional Services and leads the global business process consulting, implementation and training services at Savvion. Prior to joining Savvion, Mr. Hon was responsible for process development and management at AT&T/Cingular Wireless where he lead process improvement, standardization and technology introduction initiatives for AT&T/Cingular Wireless’ Network Engineering and Operations unit. Prior to that, Mr. Hon held several management positions at Telcordia Technologies leading consulting, product line management and technical services organizations. He received his MBA degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University and Master’s degree in Computer Sciences from Polytechnic University of New York.

Dr. Phanendra Garimella,
Senior Vice President, Engineering
Dr. Phanendra serves as Senior Vice President of Engineering and leads the global development team responsible for all Savvion product research and development. Prior to joining Savvion, Dr. Phanendra worked for 4 years as a research scientist at Kent Ridge Digital Labs (KRDL), National University of Singapore, leading the research work on multimedia object database management systems and as a senior engineer at Wipro Systems Ltd., Bangalore. He has published extensively in major industry journals and proceedings. Since joining Savvion in early 1997, he has managed several key programs in the areas of Object Oriented Databases and Business Process Management. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Automation from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and has been a member of IEEE since 1996.

Kaushal Mashruwala, Managing Director, Savvion India
Mr. Mashruwala serves as Managing Director of Savvion India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Savvion, where he is responsible sales, consulting and product operations. Mr. Mashruwala joined Savvion in 1995 as one of the very early employees of Savvion where he worked with high technology leaders including Fujitsu, IBM and Computer Associates in the area applying cutting edge technology to their products. In 1999, Mr. Mashruwala moved to India to set up business operations. Prior to Savvion, Mr. Mashruwala was a director for a manufacturing company. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications from Gujarat University, India and Masters of Science in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University, California.
