SANTA CLARA, Calif. — May 21, 2008 — Savvion®, the software industry’s leading business process management (BPM) company, today announced that it has achieved record license revenue growth and profitability for the first quarter of 2008, driving several executive appointments and further innovations in BPM and Business Solutions.

Higher than expected revenue growth in the first quarter of 2008 mirrored the steady climb seen in the fourth quarter of 2007, helping Savvion to beat planned operating profits in each quarter.

Savvion expanded its large installed base both nationally and internationally in the last two quarters by signing over 35 license deals with new and existing customers including customers in the US, Canada, South America, Europe, India and the Asia Pacific region. The company added new customers in the financial services, telecommunications, IT services, manufacturing, and health care industries, and also expanded its footprint within many existing customers. Savvion’s professional services organization also saw continued growth from existing clients.

“New customer acquisitions and license extensions by many of our existing customers is a tribute to the success that companies experience with Savvion BPM,” said Dr. M.A. Ketabchi, President, CEO, and Founder of Savvion. “Our customers regularly exceed their expected ROI while streamlining and improving their businesses, creating a more productive workforce and building a competitive advantage in the marketplace.”

As a pioneer in BPM back in 1994, Savvion Founder Dr. Ketabchi was one of the first to recognize the potential of BPM for improving the efficiencies in a myriad of business organizations. Dr. Ketabchi is again redefining BPM by leading the company to develop new product components and take a new approach to utilize BPM in delivering business solutions to the market.

Dr. Ketabchi stated, “The time has come for us to revisit BPM assumptions and approaches and to review the evolution of the BPM market and its technologies over the past nine years, since the release of the first version of Savvion’s BPM product. Such a critical rethinking of BPM will surely reveal new ideas, and approaches to helping companies achieve the promise of BPM faster and better.”

To bring this new approach to market, Savvion restructured and expanded its executive team in the first quarter of 2008:

In addition, the company announced two vice president appointments from within its ranks:

“Our organization consists of very talented individuals who have been with the company for years, and as a result, has the extensive experience needed to help our customers deploy BPM successfully,” said Dr. Ketabchi. “Together, we have led BPM innovations for years and will continue the tradition through 2008 and beyond. Our financial strengths and profitability will enable us to launch new strategic initiatives more aggressively in coming quarters and to maintain our accelerated growth.”
